ROLE SUMMARY

Business Development Specialist shall be responsible for adding new accounts of Voice/MSG into existing business portfolio by utilizing his/her PR with telecom operators. The incumbent shall also be responsible for initiating new business deals and closing them while considering profit margins. One should have excellent communication and client management skills. This role requires cross-cultural communication with C- level industry professionals and may also be involved in devising/revising business development strategy.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish new interconnections with Tier-1/Tier-2 carriers
  • Initiate bilateral business deals between different accounts
  • Commercial arrangements for finalization of interconnect agreements, including rates negotiation and payment terms settlement
  • Ensure maximization of margins, by negotiating highest possible rate with the carrier (customer)
  • Close business deals by considering profit margins
  • Ensure maximum utilization of Acmetel’s interconnected carriers (customer)
  • Ensure availability of capacity by the carrier (supplier) for Acmetel
  • Ensure payment settlement obligations by carriers as per the terms of agreement
  • Develop and source a strong pipeline of prospective clients and qualified leads
  • Bring ideas for continuous business growth with elevated profit margins
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and margin targets
  • Stay updated with telecommunication industry trends and insights
  • Other minor duties/ tasks/ deliverables may be added from time to time during the course of this Agreement

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills and abilities)

  • 5+ years of experience at similar capacity in telecom operators
  • Expert knowledge of marketing, CRM and telecommunication software
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Good command on MS Office
  • Ability to gracefully take on a senior role with the right attitude to ensure a balance between patience and enthusiasm

 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

  • English
  • Spanish language proficiency would be a plus
